Baby I'm Amazed how great Paul McCartney is....
Sir Paul is an amazing musician. A few years back a good friend of mine (now deceased) told me a story about how Love! Valour! Compassion! and his now (thankfully) ex-wife took the Long Island Rail Road to New York City. The music was great! Apparently, Sir Paul had to get to NYC but powerful winds made air transport impossible and the quickest way into the city was by the LIRR. The Beatles were the first rock and roll band in my universe, this was 1964 and to this 12 year old (at the time) they made quite an impression on me. Watching this McCartney concert brought tears to my eyes as I lived those long ago memories again. Thank you, Paul. He played HIS bass guitar (of course), the lead guitar, rhythm guitar, grand piano, upright piano, and a few other instruments. My friend was the Conductor on that train and he told me how down to earth and friendly Sir Paul was towards him (the ex-wife - not so much). He's 75 years old (BTW, his voice sounded wonderful), he could be taking things easy. He doesn't need to do this. He does this for the fans. Sir Paul described as gracious, humble and just a really wonderful guy. Not for his ego, not for himself (certainly not for the money). He's just a very generous guy. You didn't have to do this - but you did.
